The BulletCams are very small, lightweight, and rugged.
Because of its low weight, there's less "mass" undergoing shock and vibration which means a more stable image, higher reliability and less chance of damage. It also opens up the use of smaller mounting methods so that you can mount the camera when there's not much space available. For maximum reliability, the camera is a single printed circuit board with surface mount components and a board mounted CCD.
The BulletCam is waterproof. You can even submerge it.
Our BulletCams use a wide-angle, lens which is ideal for motorsports. Many lenses are too narrow and the field of view just doesn't capture the excitement and vividness that you get with a wide angle lens. You can also get too wide an angle. We supply our cams with what we think is the best angle (92 degrees).
The camera is mounted in a hard aluminum tube with standard camera mounting attachment points. The front is a replaceable lens.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is NOT a digital camera. You need a recording device...
Our camera simply provides a standard analog video output. If you want to record the video, you'll need an external recording device such as a VCR or a camcorder to plug into.
The camera does NOT plug into your computer UNLESS you have a video capture board. If you don't know what a video capture board is, your computer probably doesn't have one
The BulletCam System includes ALL the cables, connectors and couplers you need to connect the camera to an external recording device such as a camcorder or a VCR. Once you get your BulletCam System, you'll be up and running in a matter of minutes without having to go to Radio Shack to pick up cables or connectors to make everything work. You get the following standard items as part of your kit:
Color CCD BulletCamera.
Powered Microphone with built in splitter.(Most Camcorders disable internal mic when recording external video)
12V Cigarette Lighter adapter or Battery Pack
Video patch cord (goes between the adapter and your recording device)
